Sterling Consultants have extensive experience of social impact assessments and impact mitigation implementation.
A Social Impact Assessment examines how individuals, communities, and social structures might be affected by the project. It will consider factors such as changes in employment, income, living conditions, access to resources, health, and community cohesion. The goal of SIA is to identify potential positive and negative effects on people and society.
Sterling Consultants have worked with global energy companies in post conflict countries for over 17 years.
Most recently a team was mobilised to plan and initiate a waste oil and flare gas recovery project in North Africa. The plan involved operating 100's of kms from major cities at remote desert sites to recover, stabilise, clean, stabilise, treat and transport millions of barrels of recovered waste oil as a value product and mitigate the environmental damage caused by years of neglect and return a pristine environment to the client.
An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) evaluates the potential environmental effects of proposed projects before commencing and is often required as a condition of funding. Sterling has undertaken multiple EIA for the electricity generation and oil and gas sectors.
